Anna Novak is a New York City based dancer, singer, and actor. She grew up in Minnesota and started dancing at the age of four. When she was eight, she started dancing at the professional ballet school, Minnesota Dance Theatre, which ignited her love of ballet. She was given many opportunities such as performing in Loyce Houlton's Nutcracker Fantasy, attending summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre and Kaatsbaan Ballet, and performing with Minnesota Dance Theatre's company.
Anna decided to pursue musical theatre after falling in love with it being exposed to the expansive theatre community in Minneapolis. She attended St. Mary's University of Minnesota where she earned a B.A. in Musical Theatre along with several performance opportunities, including those in London and Dublin.
Upon graduation, Anna was granted the opportunity to be a part of Sense and Sensibility at the Guthrie Theater, as well as in the Fireside's Theatre's Phantom as Flora, one of the corp de ballet dancers. Most recently she made her NYC, Off Broadway debut in the Vital Theatre Company's production of Angelina Ballerina the Musical. When not performing, she is usually found in class at Steps on Broadway, finding NYC's best chocolate chip cookie, and dog watching.
